The Loyalhanna United U13 team won the U13 Silver Division Championship today at the 24th Annual Plum Kickoff Classic in a tight match against FC Excel (West Virginia). The teams were locked up at 1-1 at the end of regulation. After FC Excel scored in the first of two 5-minute overtime periods, Loyalhanna United stormed back to tie it late in the second OT to force penalty kicks, where they came out on top 4-3.
